Chen Zheng

Biography

Dr. Zheng obtained her Bachelor's degree in Preventive Medicine from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2020, followed by a Ph.D. in Public Health in 2025. In 2024, she was a visiting scholar in Xiao Dong Laboratory at the University of Minnesota, where she conducted research in aging and somatic mutation using single-cell sequencing. After that, she joined the Lei Zhang Laboratory as a Postdoctoral Associate-Bioinformatics.

Justin Kennedy

Biography

Justin Kennedy began working in the Zhang lab as an undergraduate studying Genetics, Cell Biology, and Development, before joining the lab as a graduate student in 2025, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics and an MS in Bioinformatics. Justin aims to contribute to the problem of human aging and longevity through his work in the Zhang lab using murine, primate, and cellular model systems.

Jacob Bridge

Biography

Jacob Bridge is a third year MCDB&G PhD and BICB MS student in the Zhang Lab. He pursued joint undergraduate degrees in genetics and biochemistry at the University of Minnesota, graduating in May 2023. Jacob has led several immune cell engineering projects, and is eager to apply his skills to aging research.

Hannim Jung

Biography

Hannim Jung received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Minnesota, and currently has her feet in both the dry and wet labs as she explores her interest in bioinformatics. She joined the Dong Lab in September 2021 and currently also works in the Zhang Lab.
